California Overturns Ban on Same-sex Marriage

Who's Afraid of Wikipedia?
If wikipedia has fallen into the hands of an oppressive draconian homophobic teenager-butchering regime, then just like in Iran, there would be no homosexual in it.
Oh of course wiki is none of that. It has listed 6 gay men from China!
Woohoo. News of the World, isn't it?! Headline:-
"Communist Chinese government has successfully eliminated air pollution by exterminating homosexuals and stray dogs ahead of the Olympics."
But no. Somebody didn't do their job right. 6 left! There're also 5 gays in Hong Kong~!
Only 11 out of 2 billions Chinese made it to the bloody list?! Where the heck are those brilliant butt fucking artists? Musicians? Dancers? Designers? Multi-talented pretentious queenie cliches? All cowards?!
Well, you may say that nobody ever care enough to write. Wiki is user-driven after all.
Fine. I'll do it! I went into the Hong Kong list that "has been requested to populate" and added every famous gay I know. Roman Tam, Danny Chan, Chet Lam, Anthony Wong Yiu-Ming, Anthony Lun, a Grasshopper, Wyman Wong, etc.
I even created entries for photographer-cum-director Yonfan and pioneering gay right activist XiaoMingXiong specifically for this purpose.
We need role models!!! Visibility!!!
Survey after survey, the ONE deciding factor in influencing people's attitude towards homosexuality is to KNOW somebody personally who is gay.
In any case, my listing wasn't a witch hunt or outing exercise. Many of my entries are openly gay, openly hanging out at gay bars, or for christ sake, have fucking boyfriend! They just don't say it out loud.

Who's worse than terrorists?!
[Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern caused outrage by saying homosexual agenda is the biggest threat our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam.]
I'm just so fed up with these self-righteous people abusing their freedom of HATE speech.

If this is her speaking against racial equality, abusing the Bible to justify enslavement of Blacks as descendants of Ham like they used to, she would have been REMOVED for her office RIGHT AWAY without question.
How can this society find racism intolerable but homophobia OK?!
Discrimination is NOT part of religious freedom!
This is why I think holy books are outdated. This is why I think religion as a guide of morality is irrelevant. This is why religious bigots who pick & mix their favourite Biblical paragraphs and use them as a weapon is dangerous.

Want my Bone Marrow?
No, was the answer.
I've never saved anyone's life.
So why not today?, I thought to myself when walking pass the campus bone marrow drive stall this morning.
I'm exactly what they want, since minority doners are hard to come by. I dragged P along to the blood drawing room and signed our names on the blackboard.
But whilst filling in our forms, a big-fond sentence stared back at me: People at risk of HIV.AIDS infection are not permitted to donate bone marrow. Need to guess what their definition of being at risk? Men having sex with other men.
BUT WHY?
Surely you HAVE to screen EVERYONE for all sort of nasty bugs before ANY transfusion, regardless of sexual preferences?! Is it NOT far more important to access to as many potential donors as possible? Surely str8 people get HIV too? Can't RISK be redefined as "People engaged in unsafe sex"?
What if I AM that 1 in a 1,000,000 person who has the same HLA blood type as that Asian lymphoma kid on the poster?
I grieved not so much of the discrimination, as the good that I'd have done.

Happy Mummies
Resting in a unique 2-men Old Kingdom tomb close to the pyramid of Unas, are the mummies of NIANKHKHNUM and KHNUMHOTEP.
Both "THE MANICURISTS IN THE PALACE OF THE KING", Ni-Ankh-khnum and Khnum-hotep were meant to be joined in life and joined in death. Are they brothers? Twins? Father and son? Or gay lovers?
Scattered around the tombs are reliefs portraying the two of them in banquet, in intimate embrace, or holding hands whilst strolling.
Why was N positioned either to the right of or behind K, just as a wife would be portrayed? Why was N holding a lotus blossom, which appears nowhere else during that period except when portraying wives or women? Why in the most innermost part of their join-tomb, would they engage in a nose-to-nose ETERNAL embrace?
How I want this to be a real gay fairy tale. Truely together forever after.

Martin Luther King Jr Day
40 years.
I still find it hard to believe, that it has only been 40 years, since the 1964 Civil Right Act was passed, since America started to become the "Land of the Free" that it's supposed to be, since equality/civil rights were extended to African American.
That's almost a century after slavery was abolished. Why so long? Why?
If MLK hadn't led that peaceful protest seeking racial integration, if the protestors weren't attacked by police dogs and cattle prods, if JFK hadn't seen all these on TV, feel sick and support the Civil Right Act, if JFK wasn't assinated and gave the Act a psychological leverage... would the Act have passed? How equal would America be now?
I remember this picture that made me cried. Nine 15yo African American students tried to enter the previously all-white Central High School, Little Rock, for the first time in 1957. A mob of angry white students threatened to hang them, and greeted them with dynamite sticks and acid spray. The Arkansas Governor sent National Guard Soldiers to the school just to stop the black kids from going to that school.
Why so vicious? Why was it so bad for everyone to be equal? Why do their ugly faces look so much like that of anti-gay evangelicals?
Separate is rarely equal. Applicable across races & genders, why not sexual orientations?
Don't Civil Union us! Marry us! This is my dream.

Pseudo-rationales behind the "Gay-not-natural" homophobic stand are so outdated and irrelevant. Let's put a stop to it all.
My bottom-line is, if you STILL think it's unnatural, then don't be gay! But don't stop others from finding happiness.
1) "Gays can't procreate. It's fruitless."
BS! Haven't you heard of gays and lesbians raising their own family? They are as capable of conceiving as anyone else. By the same token, should Fathers, monks, nuns, sterile couples, childless yuppies all be put into shame as well?
2) "God created Adam & Eve not Adam & Steve."
BS! Is your name Adam or Eve? Did their kids practise incest to give birth to a third generation again? Nice story on high moral ground indeed.
3) "Most people fall for the opposite sex. Gays are amongst the minority."
BS! So? Is this bullying? Most people have black hair in this world. Should blondies and brunettes dye themselves black?
4) "There're no gay animals in the wild"
You should read more, really, not that gay blowjobs between dolphins makes a difference to human morality.
5) "Gay relationship never last."
BS! How long has Elton John been with his manager again? Have you not heard of the *straight* word "divorce"?
6) "Same-sex couples are competitive."
BS! So we shouldn't have brothers and same-sex friends either?
7) "Anal sex is wrong. Ass is for shit."
BS! Being gay does NOT necessarily mean anal sex. Some straight couples have anal sex too. If it's anal sex you're against, then don't do it! Hands are not sex organs either, why don't you stop wanking?!
8) "Gays are promiscuous."
BS! So you're ok with Lesbianism? Men are promiscuous as a whole. Haven't you heard of 7 years itch? Why do you think prostitution is so ingrained throughout human history? The male brain is supposedly programmed by evolution to spread his seeds and pass on as many genes as possible, since men do not directly invest resources in rasing young children. In some birds up to 1/3 of all youngs are conceived after "one-night?-stands"!

What *is* "natural" anyway?
I say, it's "natural" for a Right-handed person to write with their Right hand, left-handed person their left hand. A straight boy would fall in love with a girl, and a gay one with, well, another boy. What's the big deal?
See how meaningless this "Gay-not-natural" argument is? I'd be interested to see what fundamentalist would say to the gay monkeys, gay lions, gay swans, etc, in the wild.
We are all unique so why can't we just live and let live? Why are you so scared?

How can someone who has never tasted the joy of marriage instruct the world on what marriage is about?
Netherlands and Belgium have for years been issuing marriage license to same-sex couples, and "Oh look!", why haven't their civilisations collapsed and their family values and social structure dissolved?
BECAUSE someone else finding happiness DOES NOT prevent you from finding your own.
BECAUSE providing equality for every human beings INCLUDING homosexuals DOES NOT compromise your equality.
BECAUSE allowing gay couples equal marriage right and responsibility DOES NOT mean your conventional marriage is any less meaningful.
BECAUSE this HETEROSEXUAL MONOPOLY over the definition of marriage and its attached social and legal benefits is nothing more than a BLATANT DISCRIMINATION AGAINST GAY PEOPLE and a VIOLATION of HUMAN RIGHT!
Imagine only weathly WHITE MEN can vote.
Imagine BLACKS can't sit in the same bus carriage as WHITES.
Imagine Oprah can't even enter the venue of her own show through the front door.
Imagine WHITE MEN posting "DOGS and CHINESE not allowed" signs on their properties.
Imagine Australian telling ITALIANS they are not white enough.
That's how infuriating and absolutely insulting the modern world STILL is for people who happen to prefer same-sex life-time companions.
Marriage is between *2* persons, so let *THEM* decide who!

Happy World AIDS Day?
So it's 1st of December again. It has been a long time since Princess Di last handed out condoms on this day, but no much has changed since...
This world is still full of boys willing to "bareback", and girls still think the Pill is all that they need.
And what about the Bush administration removing the word "condom" from their sex education website? what about the Catholic church telling people in Africa that condoms are leaky?
May be there is a reason for the cultural evolution of monogomy after all... or may be I've just lost my confidence in the free will of human being.
