2 months before you die
I don't know how I just bursted into tears upon hearing the news. It has never happened before, not even when my own grandma kicked the bucket last Christmas.
Del Martin passed away today. The courageous civil rights pioneer who, amongst other things, fought to have homosexuality removed from the American Psychiatric Association's list of mental illness.
It was only back in June, that Del and Phyllis, her lesbian partner of 55 years, finally got to tie the knot legally in San Francisco.
I know. I know. What is but a piece of paper, compared to a lifetime of commitment?
Still, I worry that I'm only "ALLOWED" to marry 2 months before I die.
If that sounded ridiculous, it is. Do something!
